Dr Nicolas Oddone, MBBS, MS, MD, FRACS practices in General Surgery, with a focus on head and neck surgery (particularly endocrine surgery) and surgical oncology. He has held various roles in research and academia over the years, but performing surgeries and providing care for a wide variety of patients remains the crux of his career. Dr Oddone resides in Australia.
In 2015 Dr Oddone completed a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney in 2015; his master’s degree dissertation was “Transoral Video Assisted Thyroidectomy: Anatomical Principles and Rationalisation of Surgical Technique,” which he presented to the John Lowenthal Scientific Society.
Prior to this Dr Oddone gained international experience; he earned his MD at Universidad de la Republica in Montevideo, Uruguay and his MBBS at Ministerio de Educación y Cultura in Madrid, Spain. He also completed numerous fellowships and mini fellowships and has penned publications related to the study of thyroid and parathyroid surgery. In 2009 Dr Nicolas Oddone was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is currently a member of the college’s surgical oncology and endocrine surgeons sections.
